A few useful answers

How much does disc.id cost?

Nothing. Your URL is free, and returning a disc is free too.

Can someone see my email address?

No. Your public return page shows the name and URL you choose, not your email address. Your pickup email comes through disc.id.

Do I need to register each disc or mark it as lost?

No. One disc.id URL works on every disc in your bag, so there is no per-disc catalog and no need to mark a disc as lost. The return starts when someone enters the URL written on the disc.

Do I need a sticker or QR code?

No. Write your full URL, such as disc.id/your-name, on each disc with permanent marker.

Can I change my URL?

Yes, once every 7 days. Choose a new URL with 6 to 24 characters. If the old URL is written on a disc, keep it active so it forwards to your new one. If you never wrote it on a disc, release it for another player. You can keep up to three previous URLs active.

Can I add a photo and location to my player page?

No. Player pages stay focused on returning a found disc, with only your chosen name, URL, and the return steps. A return photo and pickup details are shared only when someone reports a found disc.

What happens when the signal is poor?

Once the return page is open, it can be completed without a signal. The details stay saved on that phone. Keep the page open or return after reconnecting to send them.

What does someone need to do to return a disc?

No account or conversation is needed. Enter the URL, take a photo, add a pickup note or location, and leave the disc somewhere safe.

Make the return easy from the start

Disc golfers have always looked out for one another. Writing a phone number on a disc has helped return plenty of them, and it still works. We created disc.id for players who want to keep their contact information private and make the handoff easier.

One short URL works on every disc in your bag. When another player finds one, they can leave it somewhere safe and show you where instead of starting a text thread or arranging a meetup. The Sharpie is still king. We only change what you write.
